This beautiful soldered pendant necklace features a 1984 postage stamp from Turkey sandwiched between two pieces of glass salvaged from a broken window.
The stamp has a lovely illustration of the marshmallow flower (Althaea officianalis), a flower indigenous to Africa whose benefits include medicinal uses as well as marshmallow sweets made from its root.
The pendant hangs from a necklace of mauve satin ribbon and green organdy ribbon finished with a silver clasp. A cluster of Swarovski crystals in mauve and green adorn the top of the pendant and add a bit of sparkle.
